Elsewhere Too Brings a Ferris Wheel, Fire Pits, and Whimsy to North San Antonio
If you haven’t been yet, here’s your sign: Elsewhere Too is now open in North San Antonio, and it’s quickly become a favorite local spot for those looking to relax, explore, and enjoy something different.
Set on a whimsical six-acre property off Loop 1604, Elsewhere Too feels more like stepping into an outdoor art installation than visiting a bar. Think glowing lights, fire pits, a 52-foot Ferris wheel you can actually ride, and cozy spaces designed to spark joy and conversation. It’s the second concept from the team behind Elsewhere Garden Bar & Kitchen downtown—and this new location is bigger, brighter, and designed with the North Side community in mind.
A Ferris Wheel, Flower Tunnel, and Firelight Vibes
Yes, there’s a real Ferris wheel. And yes, you can ride it while sipping a frozen lemonade or boozy cocktail.
But that’s just the start. Elsewhere Too also features:
- A 42-foot flower tunnel entrance
- A hedge maze for wandering and photos
- Vintage train cars tucked around the property
- A dedicated dog-friendly zone (complete with puppy patties on the menu!)
- And a beautiful 2,500-square-foot greenhouse that can be reserved for private events
The vibe shifts with the sun: during the day, families are welcome, and kids can enjoy the open space while parents grab a bite or drink. After 8 PM, the venue transitions into more of an adult space—with Movie Mondays, Trivia Wednesdays, and weekend nights featuring fire and aerial performers, DJ sets, and plenty of mood lighting.

What’s on the Menu?
This isn’t just drinks and bar snacks—the expanded kitchen at Elsewhere Too serves up a full menu of creative comfort food. Some local favorites include:
- Buffalo Chicken Sandwich – Hand-battered chicken thigh with slaw, pickles, and house buffalo sauce
- Chimichurri Fries – Ribeye, arugula, and house-made chimichurri over fries
- PB&J Burger – A surprising mix of strawberry preserves, peanut butter, bacon, and cheddar
- Soft Pretzels, Cauliflower Wings, Chicken Tenders, and more
There are vegetarian options (try the Mushroom Melt) and kid-friendly meals like grilled cheese or PB&J with fries—until 8 PM, that is. After that, it’s 21+ only.
Why This Spot Feels Special
Elsewhere Too isn’t just another bar—it was designed to feel like an outdoor escape, blending natural beauty with playful, immersive elements. It’s the vision of co-owners Terrin Fuhrmann and Nolan Ellis, two locals who first brought the Elsewhere concept to life along the River Walk.
They noticed that many of their downtown customers were driving in from the North Side, so they decided to bring the magic closer to home—on a much bigger scale. The result is a space that invites visitors to slow down, look around, and rediscover that sense of wonder we often lose in day-to-day life.
As his career evolved, Fuhrmann began shifting away from the traditional nightclub scene, focusing instead on concepts that feel more sustainable, inclusive, and rooted in shared experience. Elsewhere Too reflects that vision—a space designed to bring people together through art, nature, and a little bit of magic.
