Located at 20215 Chasewood Park Drive in Houston near Vintage Park, this expansive 80-acre property features Marshall Lake, making it a popular spot for water-based activities.
Within the preserve, visitors can explore a variety of amenities that are designed to enhance their time in nature. These include paved roads and trails, fishing piers, unpaved natural areas, and a canoe launch. The canoe launch is open for non-motorized boats during the park's regular operational hours from 7 a.m. to dusk.
For those ages 18 and up who are interested in beginner instruction, adults-only training sessions are available at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve to learn the basics of handling a canoe or kayak, paddle strokes, and essential information, free of charge. Practice time on the water is included, along with all necessary equipment.
In addition to enjoying the preserve's natural beauty, visitors can participate in an array of group and camping activities. A covered picnic area and a fire ring are available, although the pavilion use follows a first-come, first-serve basis.
