Patrick Billette, Cypress Ridge High School alumnus (2019), will perform on saxophone with a live band at the ReelMusic Festival, part of ReelAbilities Houston this Thursday night at 7:30 at White Oak Music Hall, located at 2915 N Main Street in Houston.
ReelMusic 2023 showcases talented musicians who have overcome a variety of barriers to share their love of music and promises to be a fun and exciting night. Celebrate music’s power to connect us, unite us, and lift us up with ReelMusicians from the past, new-to-the-Festival ReelMusicians, and the ReelMusic house band of Andrew Lienhard, David Craig, Kelly Dean, Eman Gilligan, and Gavin Moolchan. The concert is free and open to the public.
Currently, Patrick Billette is a student at Lone Star College Tomball in the LIFEPath Program where he will earn his Occupational and Life Skills Associate (OLSA) degree in May. Patrick also attends Summerhouse Houston and has worked at The Boral Agency as an Administrative Assistant for three years.
Patrick has been active in Special Olympics Gymnastics for ten years and is an Athlete Leader. He won seven gold medals at the USA Games Gymnastics Competition in June in Orlando, FL and was showcased on the local news and interviewed by Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. Patrick is regularly invited as a guest speaker at events such as the Soaring Kidz 10-year anniversary, Summerhouse Houston’s 10-year Anniversary Gala, and Discover Fitness Foundation’s Annual Meetings. Patrick began playing the violin when he was seven years old and saxophone at the age of ten.
He currently studies with Joe Freilich of Missouri City. He is a member of the Houston Sinfonietta Community Orchestra and the Gulf Coast Band. He performs regularly at retirement homes and has performed the National Anthem at events including the Texas Special Olympics Summer Games at Maverick Stadium in Arlington, TX. In his free time, Patrick loves to stay active through exercise, use social media, practice saxophone, and travel.
