Cypress Assistance Ministries Launches Holiday Assistance Program
The holidays might feel like they are a distant thought, but Christmas is just over two months away. Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) is already springing into action to help bridge the gap for families in need across the Cy-Fair region with their annual Christmas with CAM: Merriment at the Ministry initiative.
Beginning October 16, CAM will accept requests from qualified applicants for assistance with gifts and food for the holidays. To apply, families must bring documentation to verify all sources of income like paycheck stubs, SSI/SS, and unemployment; ability to verify children with documentation such as SNAP benefits, lease agreement, report card, school enrollment, or Social Security cards for all children; and photo identification. Families seeking assistance must live within the boundaries of Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. CAM will offer the following dates and times for applicants to stop by and submit their request for assistance:
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Fridays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Saturday, November 18 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Saturday, December 9 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Every year, Christmas with CAM: Merriment at the Ministry draws community members, organizations, churches and schools from across the Cy-Fair region to lend a hand through donation and volunteerism. Check back for more details about ways to assist with the effort and make this Christmas special for our neighbors in need.
