July 19 2022

Cypress Woods High School was named one of the “2022 Schools Transforming Learning” by the Principals’ Institute (PI), which honors campuses that are making exceptional strides in their journeys to provide innovative learning opportunities for all students. Cypress Woods joins three other campuses across Texas in receiving the recognition.

The Cypress Woods High School football program was named the inaugural recipient of
the 2021-2022 National Football Foundation High School Academic Excellence Award,
earning the national honor among 62 finalists across 13 states. Representatives from
the Texas High School Coaches Association presented the award to Cypress Woods
in May 2022. Cypress Woods was named a “2022 Schools Transforming Learning”
by the Principals’ Institute.

“To be named a transformational campus by the N2 Learning Principals’ Institute is quite an honor for Cypress Woods,” said Gary Kinninger, Cypress Woods principal. “This recognition reflects the commitment to excellence by our faculty and staff.”
