Cy-Woods, Cy-Ridge Students Qualify for Future Business Leaders of America Nationals
CFISD students in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) career and technical education classes placed among the top five at the Texas State Leadership Conference March 22-24 in Galveston to qualify for the National Leadership Conference this summer.
Cypress Woods High School students Saathvik Dabbara and Vernell Williams won first place in the Entrepreneurship competition. Fellow student Lassya Goriparti was named secretary for the state of Texas, and Ryan Georgian was picked to be the Who’s Who representative for Texas at nationals.
Cypress Ridge High School student Kevin Trinh won first place in Computer Game & Simulations Programming. Fellow student Paramveer Grewal won first place in the Social Media on Business and Economics open event.

- Mixtly Lozano, Jersey Village – fourth place, Electronic Career Portfolio;
- Johnny Kuang and Yashmenth Parasa, Cypress Woods – fourth place, Introduction to Business Procedures;
- Rahul Rathan, Cypress Woods – fifth place, Economics;
- Joselin Pozos, Cypress Ridge – fifth place, Agribusiness; and
- Abigail Mendoza, Jersey Village – fifth place, Intro to Public Speaking.
Additionally, Jersey Village student Tiffany Vo won third place in the Chapter Scrapbook event.
