The Cypress Springs High School community gathered on Feb. 11 at the Berry Center to celebrate the school’s 25th anniversary.

Cypress Springs community members, along with former staff and students, joined current staff and students to not only commemorate the silver anniversary of Cypress Springs, but to help fundraise for the Cypress Springs Legacy Memorial Scholarship, an endowment scholarship for Cypress Springs graduates through the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF).

“The scholarship endowment has been a few years in the making,” said Samantha Collins, Cypress Springs director of instruction. “The endowment has been on Dr. Cheryl Henry’s heart for a while, and she has been wanting to do a scholarship for our campus specifically.”

Guests who attended the event were treated to brunch and invited to buy raffle tickets to win multiple gifts and gift baskets, including special Cypress Springs memorabilia. All proceeds went towards the scholarship endowment.

“As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Cypress Springs High School, we wanted to celebrate the memories and successes as well as provide a lasting legacy,” Dr. Henry said. “Our Silver Anniversary Brunch serves as the major fundraiser for the Cypress Springs Legacy Memorial Scholarship. Our goal is to raise $20,000 for the endowment to provide a $1,000 scholarship each year to a Cypress Springs graduate. We are so pleased to partner with the CFEF.”
