Cy-Hope is honored to participate as a local nonprofit organization in the Birdies for Charity fundraising program of the Houston Open.
Birdies for Charity gives selected charities and schools the opportunity to generate contributions on a broader platform. The Houston Open administers the program, invoices and receipts the donors, and graciously gives 100% of all funds collected to each designated organization. None of the credit card fees or processing fees get passed on to Cy-Hope. With every donation over $20, donors have the opportunity to guess the number of birdies PGA Tour Pros will make during the Houston Open Golf Tournament (November 10-13, 2022).
In conjunction with our Annual Campaign, Birdies for Charity will enhance our year-end campaign to generate funds for 2023!

2022 Year-End Campaign: The Joy of Generosity
It’s been said joy is the most contagious attribute a person can possess. One way we can obtain this contagious joy is by giving!
Imagine a world where every student achieves their highest potential. Imagine being part of something bigger than yourself. Imagine changing the life of one student. Imagine changing the lives of thousands of students. Imagine feeling invigorated by your simple act of giving to those less fortunate. Imagine your joy being so contagious it spreads like dandelion seeds blown on the ground. Imagine an organization that brings hope and spreads joy. Cy-Hope does just that through all of our programs.
We bring hope and spread contagious joy by:
- Feeding food insecure kids over the weekends and in the summer. Students learn better when their basic needs are met.
- Providing a safe place to go after school and a summer camp experience. Kids need a sense of belonging and time to play.
- Giving opportunities to play ball and learn a musical instrument. Kids develop character and confidence when part of a team and learning new skills.
- Counseling students and families dealing with emotional needs. Mental health plays an important role in overall wellbeing.
- Preparing students for college and career before they graduate high school. Knowledge is power.
- Mentoring high school students to help them navigate life. Relationships form the basis of learning.
Through November 13th, all of Cy-Hope’s donations will be funneled through the Birdies for Charity portal to qualify us for the additional bonus funds available to top-ranking charities.
