Cy-Fair Helping Hands Now Offering Free Infant Formula for Families in Need

November 17 2023

Cy-Fair Helping Hands’ new partnership with L.I.F.E. Houston (Local Infant Formula for Emergencies) brings access to free infant formula to struggling families in the northwest part of Harris County.

L.I.F.E. Houston has been feeding hungry babies since 1988. They are the city's only food bank specifically for babies, providing not only formula but also education about proper infant nutrition. Through emergency formula assistance, they help ensure that the cost of formula does not prohibit families from accessing the essential nutrition needed for their infant’s first year.  L.I.F.E. Houston helps to ensure that all Houston-area families can give their babies a strong start in life.

With a wide range of brands and formula types, including hypoallergenic formula for infants with medical needs, L.I.F.E. offers formulas based with milk, soy, lactose-free, and milk-based with partially-broken down protein for easier digestion.

A representative from L.I.F.E. Houston is at CFHH’s Kirkton Drive location on Mondays and Thursdays. If you or someone you know needs formula for an infant, please call 713-428-2065 to schedule an appointment. Visit www.lifehouston.org/getformula to learn more about L.I.F.E. Houston and how to apply for assistance.

Since its inception in 2010, Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH) aims to help the homeless of Cy-Fair become self-sufficient.
