Creativity Is Blooming: Hearthstone Garden Club Invites Neighbors to October Painting & Botanical Arts Nights

September 25 2025

In a neighborhood as close-knit as Hearthstone, many residents find themselves looking for meaningful ways to connect with one another—beyond a wave at the mailbox or a quick hello on the sidewalk. The Hearthstone Garden Club offers just that: a chance to make new friends, learn something new, and have a little fun along the way. Whether you're a seasoned gardener, a curious beginner, or simply someone who enjoys the beauty of a well-loved park, the club has a place for you.

And this October, they’re welcoming the community to two upcoming events that combine creativity, camaraderie, and a bit of fall flair—all happening at the Hearthstone Country Club.

October 21: Paint a Rock, Join the Snake

On Tuesday, October 21 at 6:30 PM, the Garden Club will host a rock painting night, where neighbors can decorate their own rock to become part of a colorful rock snake. No experience is needed—just wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on, and bring a willingness to get creative.

Once completed, the painted rocks will be placed in Bob Allen Park, where the club has already created some of the most beautiful spaces in the neighborhood, including flower beds and tree dedications that celebrate the people and stories of Hearthstone. The rock snake will be a whimsical new addition, meant to delight all who pass by.

October 28: Botanical Arts Night

Then, on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:30 PM, local garden enthusiasts Cat and Shannon will lead a Botanical Arts Workshop to spark your creativity and help you explore nature as a form of art. Think pressed flowers, garden-themed crafts, and the kind of inspiration that might just lead you to create something for the fall flower show.

It’s a welcoming space for both creative minds and curious newcomers—no pressure, just possibilities.

Why Join the Garden Club?

The Hearthstone Garden Club is active all year long, offering something for everyone. They organize plant sales, outings, and fundraising events that support beautification projects across the neighborhood. They also host an annual holiday party and coordinate popular traditions like Yard of the Month and the Holiday Lights Contest, which help celebrate the pride residents take in their homes and outdoor spaces.

From sprucing up Bob Allen Park to spotlighting beautiful yards and holiday displays, the Garden Club plays a meaningful role in keeping Hearthstone connected, cared for, and beautiful.

Joining is easy, and there's no expectation to know all the names of the flowers or have the perfect green thumb. Have questions about the Hearthstone Garden Club? Email hearthstonegardenclub@gmail.com

Come for the friendship, stay for the fun—and maybe pick up a few gardening tips along the way.
