Copperfield Place Village Annual Meeting Set for May 13
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Annual Meeting, set for Monday, May 13!
The Annual Meeting is a meaningful opportunity for residents to come together and learn about what's been happening on the business side of the neighborhood over the last year. It also provides a great platform share ideas, voice concerns and explore ways to improve as we plan for the following year. All residents are warmly encouraged to attend!
In order to conduct this meeting effectively, it is important for us to establish a quorum by either attending in person or submitting proxies. Not sure what a quorum is, or what proxies are? A quorum is the minimum number of members of an assembly, like our HOA, that must be present at our meetings to make the proceedings of that meeting valid. Proxies are typically used for voting at meetings when a member is absent. Written or electronic voting is used when voting occurs without a meeting.
During the meeting, we will review the accounts, budget, and achievements of our community, along with committee reports on the pool, park, ARC matters, and the overall needs of our community. This gathering also presents a wonderful opportunity to participate in the election of a new board member for an open seat - this year, we anticipate at least one open seat!
Please note that our HOA Board President, Ed Gabiana, has decided to step down as President at the end of his term this year. We would like to thank him for all of his time and hard work that he has done for our neighborhood. As a volunteer position, being an HOA Board President takes passion and commitment to serve and help to oversee our neighborhood is in the best condition it can be. Thank you, Ed, for all that you have done.
Our Annual Meeting will be held at the Copperfield Community Center. Please contact Chaparral Management if you prefer to join virtually which will be available also.
If you are interested in being a part of shaping our community, we warmly invite you to consider running for the HOA Board. For more information or if you wish to explore the role of a Board member, please reach out to a current Board member or contact our community manager, Phaedra Wudi, with Chaparral directly at 281-463-1777.
Let's come together to make this Annual Meeting a success and to shape the future of our community positively. Your involvement and contribution are greatly valued, and we look forward to seeing you there!
