For many families in Converse and the surrounding San Antonio area, military service is part of everyday life. This fall, residents will have another opportunity to come together and recognize that connection as the City of Converse Veterans Day Parade returns on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026.

The City of Converse is now accepting applications from individuals, organizations and groups interested in participating in the parade. There is no fee to enter, making the event an accessible way for local residents, businesses, schools, civic organizations and other community groups to show their support for veterans.

The parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

A Community Tradition Centered on Veterans

Veterans Day carries particular significance across the greater San Antonio area, where generations of active-duty service members, veterans and military families have put down roots.

In Converse, the annual Veterans Day Parade offers residents a chance to move that appreciation beyond words and into a visible community gathering. Parade participants can take part directly, while families lining the route have an opportunity to recognize veterans and military service together.

Because there is no participation fee, groups interested in taking part can apply without an entry cost.

When Is the 2026 Converse Veterans Day Parade?

The Converse Veterans Day Parade will take place Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m.

The event takes place several days ahead of the federal Veterans Day observance on Nov. 11, giving Converse families a weekend opportunity to gather and recognize those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Residents planning to attend can watch for additional information from the City of Converse as the parade approaches, including any details regarding the route, staging areas, parking or other event-day instructions.
