Conroe Aquatic Center, Waterpark and Community Pools Ready to Make a Splash for Summer 2026
When summer officially kicks off in Montgomery County, few things bring the community together quite like pool season in Conroe. And this summer, local families, fitness enthusiasts, new residents and longtime neighbors alike will have plenty of ways to cool off, stay active and connect through the City of Conroe’s Aquatic Center, Waterpark and Community Pools.
With the Conroe Waterpark reopening May 23, 2026, expanded swim lesson opportunities, year-round aquatic programming and affordable admission options, the city’s aquatic facilities are once again becoming a go-to destination for summer fun in Conroe.
For many families moving into the fast-growing Conroe area, these facilities offer more than just a place to swim. They provide affordable recreation, opportunities for children to build life-saving water safety skills and spaces where neighbors gather throughout the summer months.
Conroe Waterpark Reopens May 23 for Summer Fun
The highly anticipated reopening of the Conroe Waterpark is set for May 23, 2026, at 1207 Candy Cane Lane, Conroe, TX 77301. The seasonal attraction will operate Tuesday through Sunday through Aug. 9, before transitioning to weekends only from Aug. 15 through Sept. 6.
The waterpark features two daily sessions:
- Session 1: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Session 2: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Daily admission is $10 per person ages 3 and older per session, while residents with a valid facility membership receive discounted admission at $5 per person. Season passes become available beginning May 4.
Families planning visits during peak summer weekends are encouraged to arrive early, as the facility regularly reaches capacity and may implement waitlists for entry.
The waterpark also offers concessions on site and private after-hours rentals for birthdays, summer celebrations and group events. Rentals begin at 6:30 p.m. and can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Rental rates include:
- Residents: $225 per hour
- Non-residents: $300 per hour
Online reservations for residents open March 30 at 9 a.m.
Year-Round Aquatic Center Offers Fitness, Recreation and Swim Programs
Located at1205 Candy Cane Ln, Conroe, TX 77301, the Conroe Aquatic Center continues serving residents year-round with two heated and covered pools designed for lap swimming, recreational use, water exercise classes and swim instruction.
The facility operates:
- Monday through Friday: 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday: 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Closed Sundays
Included with membership or accessible through a $10 daily guest pass, the Aquatic Center has become especially popular among residents looking for low-impact fitness options and indoor aquatic activities during every season.
Water exercise classes continue to draw participants of all ages, particularly adults seeking joint-friendly workouts and community interaction. Programs include:
- Water Aerobics
- Water Walking
- Deep Water Jogging
- Aqua Rhythms
- Aqua Core, Stretch and Strength
- Boot Camp H20
Many classes offer first-time visits free of charge, making it easy for residents to explore different fitness options before committing to memberships or punch cards.
The Aquatic Center notes that water exercise remains especially beneficial for individuals managing arthritis, mobility limitations or injury recovery, while still offering challenging cardio and strength-building opportunities.
Swim Lessons Help Conroe Families Build Water Safety Skills
As more families relocate to the Conroe area and spend time around neighborhood pools, lakes and waterparks, swim safety continues to be a major priority for parents.
The Conroe Aquatic Center’s Learn-to-Swim Program offers both group and private swim lessons led by American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors. Programs are available for everyone from infants and toddlers to teenagers and adults.
Free swim evaluations will take place throughout spring and summer 2026 to help place participants in the appropriate skill level.
Scheduled evaluation dates remaining include:
- June 6
- June 13
- June 27
- July 11
Group swim lesson sessions will run throughout June, July and early August, with registration opening in phases for residents and non-residents.

- Parent and Child Aquatics
- Preschool Aquatics
- Learn-to-Swim Levels 1-6
- Adult Swim Lessons
- Private Swim Instruction
City officials say the lessons are designed not only to teach swimming technique, but also to help children and adults develop confidence and safe habits around water — an increasingly important skill in a region filled with pools, lakes and recreational waterways.
Community Pool Returns May 26
Residents looking for a more relaxed neighborhood-style swim experience can also enjoy the Community Pool at 100 Park Place, Conroe, TX 77301, reopening May 26, 2026.
The Community Pool features:
- Zero-depth entry
- Interactive play features
- Water slide
- Lounge seating
- Tables for families and groups
The pool operates Monday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. through Aug. 8.
Admission is included with membership or available through a $3 daily guest pass, making it one of the more affordable family-friendly summer activities in Conroe.
City of Conroe Hiring Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors
With aquatic facilities preparing for a busy summer season, the City of Conroe is also actively hiring lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors.
The positions involve supervising patrons, enforcing pool safety procedures, responding to emergencies, maintaining pool operations and assisting guests throughout the facilities.
Officials describe the roles as an opportunity for teens, college students and community members to gain valuable leadership and emergency response experience while helping keep local families safe.
