The Patterson Park Community Garden Roots & Wings Festival in Austin turns a neighborhood park morning into a simple, community-minded outing for families and garden lovers. It is the kind of event where kids can stay curious, adults can swap ideas, and the whole crowd gets a little closer to the city’s greener side.
The official event page notes that Austin Resource Recovery will host a booth, share information about city programs and services, and distribute kitchen compost collectors while supplies last. As part of the broader Roots & Wings Festival, the event adds another welcoming stop for residents searching for East Austin gardening events, weekend family activities, and community garden happenings.
