Cold Stone Creamery Coming to Elyson in Katy
Cold Stone Creamery, known for its signature made-to-order ice cream creations, is set to open a new location at Elyson in Katy. Scheduled for construction in late February 2025, the new store will be located at 22314 FM 529, Suite 900, Cypress, TX 77433. The build-out for the interior of the existing shell building is expected to be completed by late May 2025.
For over 30 years, Cold Stone Creamery has delighted customers with its fresh, high-quality ice cream, cakes, smoothies, and shakes, all crafted using the brand’s signature frozen granite stone method. This process, where ingredients are mixed right before the customer's eyes, allows for the creation of customized ice cream creations tailored to individual preferences.
Founded in 1988 by Donald and Susan Sutherland in Tempe, Arizona, Cold Stone Creamery set out to offer a fresher, higher-quality alternative to traditional ice cream. The Sutherlands’ desire to craft ice cream made in-store each day led them to create a franchise that would change the way people think about frozen treats.

Customers can create their perfect treat by selecting from a variety of mix-ins, including favorites like SNICKERS®, OREO®, and gummy bears, and pairing them with over a dozen ice cream flavors. Cold Stone’s crew members add a touch of fun to the experience by singing and cheering as they prepare each treat.

The new store will also introduce Cold Stone’s seasonal and limited-time-only flavors, as well as options for those with dietary preferences, such as sorbet and frozen yogurt.
