City of Tomball to Host National Day of Prayer Event
Area families, business owners, and others will join together at Tomball’s Community Center on May 4th starting at 6 p.m. to take part in the annual National Day of Prayer - Tomball Prays Together. This year, everyone is invited to pray for government and military, media and business, education and churches, and families. Local church leaders and city officials will be present at the event, which will be held at the Tomball Community Center located at 221 Market Street in Tomball.
The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.
