City of Katy to Host Winter Camps at Woodsland Community Center for Kids and Teens This Holiday Season
Are you looking for a way to keep your kids engaged and active this holiday season? P.L.A.Y. (Positive Learning Active Youth), in partnership with the City of Katy, is hosting exciting winter camps at the Woodsland Community Center that promise tons of fun and learning. From sports to slime-making, S.T.E.M. to arts and crafts, these camps offer a variety of activities that will entertain children and provide them with an enriching experience over the holidays.
The P.L.A.Y. winter camps will take place on several dates throughout the Christmas and New Year season: December 23, 24, 27, 30, 31, and January 2, 3. With flexible options for busy families, parents can choose between morning (9 AM to 12 PM) or afternoon (1 PM to 4 PM) three-hour sessions, or opt for the full-day, eight-hour session from 9 AM to 4 PM. Each day will be packed with themed activities, including S.T.E.M. challenges, sports, slime creation, arts and crafts, and LEGO building.
The camps are open to children ages 4 to 13, making it a perfect fit for a wide range of young campers. P.L.A.Y. is also welcoming teen volunteers ages 14-17, providing a great opportunity for older kids to gain experience and contribute to the community. With costs ranging from $50 for a single half-day session to $370 for a full week of full-day camp, there are options to fit every family’s schedule and budget.

Please note that there will be no camp on December 25th, 26th, or January 1st, allowing staff and campers to enjoy time with their families.
