$7M Clubhouse Construction Breaks Ground at Cypresswood Golf Club in Spring

June 23 2025

A major new development is underway in Spring, Texas, as construction begins on a new two-story, 40,293-square-foot clubhouse at Cypresswood Golf Club. Located at 21602 Cypresswood Drive, the project broke ground on June 23, 2025, with completion expected by May 2026, according to an official permit filing for the project.

An official groundbreaking ceremony for the new clubhouse took place on Monday, June 23, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the club’s ongoing restoration efforts following the destruction of the original facility by Hurricane Harvey.

The $7 million clubhouse will include golf cart parking, a pro shop, a banquet hall, a restaurant-style grille, and an upper-level driving deck. Associated site work will accompany the new building, which sits along the scenic Spring Creek corridor in northern Harris County.

Paradigm Construction, the general contractor for the project, is working in collaboration with architecture firm LDDBlueline. The development comes as part of an ongoing effort to modernize the offerings at Cypresswood Golf Club, one of the most prominent public-access golf complexes in the southern Texas region.

Cypresswood’s golf courses—36 holes nestled across 600 acres of wooded terrain—have hosted numerous regional and national tournaments, including stages of the PGA Tour School and Shell Houston Open qualifiers. Though open to the public, the golf club has grown into a key recreational destination for both casual players and tournament organizers in the Greater Houston area.

The groundbreaking ceremony also drew support from local officials, including Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey. Ramsey’s office emphasized the clubhouse as a future community asset expected to contribute to regional prosperity and growth.

While the new clubhouse is a privately initiated and funded endeavor, its scale and scope reflect the increasing popularity of high-quality daily fee golf experiences in Greater Houston. The project’s completion is expected to enhance event hosting capabilities and provide upgraded dining and recreational amenities for visitors throughout the area.
