CFISD Student of the Week: LaMonte Guinn
Woodard Elementary School fifth grade student LaMonte Guinn is applauded by his teachers for being a ‘leader of the pack’ both in and out of the classroom.

Accomplishments: Guinn became a Woodard Wolf during the 2021-2022 school year and quickly became a notable student. He’s a member of the Young Men of Distinction, which has already instilled a love for helping people within Guinn. Woodard Assistant Principal, Tyler Hart, praised Guinn for volunteering his time during morning car rider duty, helping open doors and welcoming fellow students to school.
Favorite class: “Math with Mrs. Reilly Hartwell because we learn math in fun ways that makes it exciting.”
Favorite things to do after class: “Go to my friends’ houses and play basketball.”
Favorite song: “Anything relaxing or R&B.”
Favorite website/app: “DreamBox when I’m at school and YouTube when I’m at home.”
Favorite TV show: “Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, because it is about a boy who works hard to be accomplished.”
Favorite movie: “Anything with karate because it is fun to watch the action.”
Ambition: “Being a basketball player because it is a sport where you have a whole team to work together and help each other.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Doing well in school and taking care of my family.”
What inspires you?: “Friends and my teachers.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “Food, games and my family.”
