CFISD Student of the Week: Laila Abdel Azim
Cypress Springs High School senior Laila Abdel Azim is complimented by her teachers for her school spirit and determination.

Accomplishments: Azim was crowned the first “Miss Panther” in school history at the Miss Panther Pageant and is an All-American cheerleader.
Favorite class: “Cheer is my favorite class because I love to show school spirit and get students involved in school spirit.”
Favorite things to do after class: “Talk to my friends, cheer and work.”
Favorite song: “I don’t listen to a lot of music, so I don’t have a favorite song.”
Favorite website/app: “TikTok is my favorite app. I watch it to learn new ideas for cheer students and dance challenges.”
Favorite TV show: “Rick and Morty, because I love Sci-Fi and it’s funny.”
Favorite movie: “My favorite movie is Cinderella because she overcame her life struggles.”
Ambition: “I want to become a criminal lawyer. I enjoy watching true crime stories and Judge Judy.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about the law. I want to defend people who don’t have the voice or the means to help themselves.”
What inspires you?: “My mom inspires me because she shows me everyday that you can do anything you put your mind to.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “My mom, my phone and Rick and Morty.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to making my family proud on graduation day!”
