CFISD Student of the Week: Caleb Hartzel
Farney Elementary School second grade student Caleb Hartzel is praised by his teachers for being kind.

Accomplishments: Hartzel recently participated in the “Lil’ Rustlers Rodeo” at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. “Lil’ Rustlers Rodeo” allows children 4 to 10 years old with special needs to experience rodeo events like bull riding, steer roping and barrel racing with the help of real cowboys and cowgirls while using safe animals. The event takes place across three nights with approximately 60 participants each night.
Favorite class: “Science and math, because I love learning about all things science and I love numbers.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I enjoy playing outside! I love to ride my bike, play sports and play video games.”
Favorite song: “Anything I can dance to, especially the chicken dance!”
Favorite website/app: “Fortnite.”
Favorite TV show: “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous and Sharkdog.”
Favorite movie: “Hotel Transylvania and Sonic the Hedgehog.”
Ambition: “Work hard, be a good friend, help others and do my best in all things.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “Cooking, math, science, sports, baseball, church, music, dinosaurs, monster trucks, airplanes and trains.”
What inspires you?: “My family and friends.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, grilled cheese and music.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Our field trip to the Nature Center and field day.”
