CFISD Student of the Week: Bryce Marshall

Labay Middle School eighth grade student Bryce Marshall is praised by his teachers for being involved around campus.

School: Labay Middle School  |  Age: 13  |  Grade: 8

Accomplishments: Marshall is an honor roll student, is a member of the Labay football team and received Labay’s Outstanding Track and Field Athlete Award after placing second in discus at the 2023 CFISD Middle School Track and Field Meet. Marshall also received a scholarship to attend the 2023 Richard Tapia STEM Engineering Summer Camp at Rice University. His team won first place for their presentation on carbon capture storage. Marshall also has art displayed at the Dr. Mark Henry Administration Building.

Favorite class: “Spanish II, because I like learning a new language.”

Favorite things to do after class: “Playing football and drawing. I love throwing and drawing.”

Favorite song: I Wish by Skee-Lo.”

Favorite website/app: Instagram, because there are a lot of funny videos.”

Favorite TV show: Survivor, because I like the competition and challenges.”

Favorite movie: Interstellar, because it is very interesting and covers the topic of space which I find fascinating.”

Ambition: “To leave this world knowing kids and other people can look up to me.”

What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I am passionate about history, perspective drawings and all aspects with space.”

What inspires you?: “My older sister, Makenna.”

What three things can’t you live without?: “My room, doodling and expressing my creativity on paper along with my family and friends.”

What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “I am looking forward to academic excellence, being successful in sports and my extracurricular activities.”
