CFISD Student of the Week: Alexis DeCook
Hamilton Middle School sixth grade student Alexis DeCook excels both inside and outside of the classroom.

Accomplishments: DeCook is a member of the honor roll who also gives back to her school and has been recognized as a campus difference maker.
Favorite class: “My favorite class is math. I like that in math I can always get only one correct answer.”
Favorite things to do after class: “I enjoy playing basketball, walking my dog, watching movies and drawing.”
Favorite song: “Great Balls of Fire by Miles Teller.”
Favorite website/app: “My favorite website is Bleacher Report, because it is where I keep track of all my favorite teams.”
Favorite TV show: “Chicago Med, because I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I enjoy watching it with my mom.”
Favorite movie: “My favorite movie would be The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. I love the entire series.”
Ambition: “I work hard in school so I can get good grades and get into a good college.”
What topics/things are you passionate about?: “I’m passionate about basketball, volleyball, swimming, getting good grades and donating to charities.”
What inspires you?: “Seeing people giving it their all even if they are in last place for the entire time. Also, when people fall hard and get back up without any other thoughts.”
What three things can’t you live without?: “My family, my dog and an education.”
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: “Getting harder workouts in Pre-Athletics and trying my all to get even better grades.”
