CFISD Board Approves Incoming Superintendent’s Contract
The CFISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the contract of employment for the new superintendent of schools, Dr. Douglas Killian, during the Board work session on Dec. 7.
Dr. Killian, who was announced as the lone finalist for the position during the Nov. 13 Board meeting, will begin his contract as CFISD superintendent on Jan. 1, 2024. He comes to CFISD from Pflugerville ISD, where he has served as superintendent since 2017.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Killian to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD,” said Scott Henry, CFISD Board president. “His experience, knowledge and passion for education will be an asset to our students, staff and community for years to come.”
