CFISD Baseball Players Named to 2023 All-District 16-6A, 17-6A Teams
District 16-6A and 17-6A baseball coaches recently released the 2023 All-District 16-6A and 17-6A Baseball Teams following the conclusion of each team’s season in the UIL playoffs.
In District 16-6A, Cypress Woods High School earned three superlatives, as senior Ethan Farris was voted unanimously as the district’s Most Valuable Player and fellow senior Mason Green was unanimously named Pitcher of the Year.
Bridgeland High School sophomore Austin Glasscock and Cypress Park High School freshman Brandon Orellana were voted co-Newcomers of the Year.
Cypress Woods Head Coach Philip Schwarz was named Coach of the Year.
Cypress Woods High School senior Mason Green was unanimously named the District 16-6A Pitcher of the Year. |

Spring Branch ISD’s Stratford High School earned two superlatives with senior Paxton Terveen named Most Valuable Player and the coaching staff earning Coach of the Year. Spring Woods High School’s Roniel Cartaya was voted Newcomer of the Year.
Cy-Fair High School senior Kyle Chambers was among four Bobcats named to the All-District 17-6A first team. Chambers was unanimously selected as an outfielder. |
