Celebrate the 4th of July at the Nottingham Country Independence Day Parade
Nottingham Country residents are invited to celebrate Independence Day in classic community fashion as the annual Nottingham Country Parade returns on Friday, July 4. Sponsored by the Nottingham Country Community Improvement Association (CIA) and the Nottingham Moms Group, the event kicks off at 9:30 AM and promises a festive morning filled with neighborhood spirit.
The family-friendly parade is a long-standing tradition in the neighborhood, known for bringing together residents of all ages in a vibrant display of red, white, and blue. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, and strollers with patriotic flair and join the procession, beginning at Rennie Park as it winds through the neighborhood streets.
Leading the parade will be local first responders, including members of the fire department and the constable’s office—always a highlight for children and families. Their participation not only ensures a safe event but adds a special touch of community pride and gratitude.
The parade concludes at Rennie Park, where neighbors are invited to stay and enjoy complimentary popsicles and take photos with the fire trucks and constables. It’s a chance for families to relax, kids to play, and the community to connect in a festive, welcoming environment.
No registration is required to participate, and all Nottingham Country residents are welcome to join. Organizers recommend arriving a little early to find a good spot along the route or to line up with fellow participants.
