The My Neighborhood News Live Beats Katy series is brought to you in part by Maria Harrington of Katy Area/West Houston Music and spotlights local bands and venues in Katy. Katy Area/West Houston Music is a public Facebook group that brings local musicians together to share information about their upcoming gigs, collaborate and support one another. 


As St. Patrick's Day weekend approaches, residents of Katy are invited to immerse themselves in the vibrant local music scene right in their own backyard. With a variety of venues and talented musicians, there's no better time to enjoy live music close to home. Whether you prefer country music or hard rock, Katy offers something for everyone. The Fab 5, a Beatles tribute band, recreates the 60s British Invasion music era with authentic renditions, sharing stages with iconic artists and promising a nostalgic experience for all fans of the era.
 
JusCoz, comprising 4 members from Parkway Fellowship Church's Worship Team, plays Classic Rock tunes they love from the 60’s to the 90’s while supporting local charities through their performances for "just causes."
