The My Neighborhood News Live Beats Katy series is brought to you in part by Maria Harrington of Katy Area/West Houston Music and spotlights local bands and venues in Katy. Katy Area/West Houston Music is a public Facebook group that brings local musicians together to share information about their upcoming gigs, collaborate and support one another.

Dan Golvach is a
one-man rock show with 30 years of touring experience, offering music from iconic rock legends of the 60's, 70's, and 80's, as well as country, blues, and easy listening, all performed live.

The Fab 5, a Beatles tribute band, recreates the 60s British Invasion music era with authentic renditions, sharing stages with iconic artists and promising a nostalgic experience for all fans of the era.
JusCoz, comprising 4 members from Parkway Fellowship Church's Worship Team, plays Classic Rock tunes they love from the 60’s to the 90’s while supporting local charities through their performances for "just causes."
Larry Waddell & The Southern Stars, a versatile 5-piece band from Flatonia, Texas, with over 40 years of experience, brings lively dance music performances encompassing country, classic rock, and blues, featuring skilled musicians Larry Waddell, John, and Tom.
