Bridgeland High School Student Wins First Place at Future Business Leaders of America National Conference
In a showcase of skill and knowledge, Bridgeland High School senior Shawn Ray has taken first place in the networking infrastructures event at the elite 2024 Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) conference. This prestigious event, held in Orlando, Florida from June 29 to July 2, attracts talented students worldwide, with members demonstrating their knowledge in areas critical to contemporary business settings.
The networking infrastructures competition is a rigorous test of timing and skill, assessing competitor's abilities in network administration. The goal is to encourage understanding of the vital role networks play in today's connected workplace.
FBLA, touted as the largest career and technical student organization globally, actively engages over 230,000 members each year in activities designed to groom them for their business careers. Founded in 1937, with its first high school chapter launched in Tennessee in 1942, FBLA has continually driven the growth of business leaders across the world.
Shawn Ray's journey to this momentous achievement has been a progressive one. After first winning the FBLA Area Leadership Conference in fall 2023, Ray advanced to claim first place at the FBLA Texas State Leadership Conference in the spring. However, his most significant accomplishment was at the national conference, where he emerged victorious in first place over nearly 100 competitors from various regions across the United States.
