Bridgeland High School Athletes Celebrate College Commitments at CFISD Signing Day
For families in Bridgeland and across Cypress, the recent Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD) late spring signing day represented something deeply meaningful—years of commitment, early mornings and unwavering support culminating in opportunity.
Nine Bridgeland High School student-athletes officially signed to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level during the April 15–16 signing events.
What Signing Day Means for Bridgeland Families
National Signing Day—and its spring counterparts—mark the moment when student-athletes formally commit to a college or university. For many, it opens doors to higher education while continuing to compete in the sport they love.
At Bridgeland, that moment was shared across multiple programs:
- Baseball: Preston Baham (Morehouse College), Andrew Daigle (Southwestern University), Brandt Johnson (LeTourneau University), Gavin Matthews (Angelo State University)
- Cheer: Paisley Gardner (Stephen F. Austin State University)
- Cross Country/Track & Field: Braden Greenaway (Blinn College), Ali Montgomery (Henderson State University), Marianna Salazar (The University of Texas at Dallas)
- Track & Field: Kyilan Olguin (Concordia University)

Why This Moment Matters Locally
For Stone Gate 2 residents, these signings represent more than individual milestones—they reflect the strength of local schools, coaching programs and family support systems.
These athletes have grown up in the community, and their success reinforces the idea that Cypress is not only a place to live, but a place where young people can truly thrive.
What Happens Next
Additional CFISD signing days are planned for May, offering more opportunities to celebrate student-athletes across the district.
For now, Stone Gate 2 families are taking a moment to celebrate what these nine students have accomplished—and what lies ahead.
