Bridgeland Earns Fourth Consecutive District Team Tennis Championship

The Bridgeland High School tennis team completed a perfect 7-0 run through its District 16-6A season, clinching a league championship for the fourth consecutive year.
 
The Bridgeland High School tennis team will open the postseason on Oct. 11 against Klein.
 

The four championships come in the first six years of the school’s existence. Bridgeland’s first title ended a five-year run by Cypress Ranch High School that began in 2014 and resulted in the Mustangs claiming a shared title followed by four outright district championships.

Cypress Ranch will advance to the postseason as the No. 2 seed in District 16-6A followed by No. 3 seed Cypress Woods High School. After making its first-ever playoff berth last year, No. 4 seed Cypress Lakes High School will make a second consecutive postseason appearance.

 
The Cypress Ranch High School tennis team qualified for the postseason as the third seen in
District 16-6A. The Mustangs will open the postseason on Oct. 11 against Tomball.
 

Bridgeland, Cypress Lakes and Cypress Woods will play their bi-district playoff on Monday, Oct. 10. Cypress Ranch will play Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Bridgeland will face Klein at 3 p.m. at Bridgeland High School (10707 Mason Road). Cypress Woods will meet Klein Cain at 3 p.m. at Klein Cain High School (10201 Spring Cypress Road). Cypress Lakes will face Tomball Memorial at 3 p.m. at Tomball Memorial High School (19100 Northpointe Ridge Lane).

Cypress Ranch will meet Tomball at 3 p.m. at Tomball Memorial High School.

In District 17-6A, Cy-Fair High School finished as the No. 3 seed and will be joined by No. 4 seed Jersey Village High School in facing their respective 18-6A opponents in the postseason. Both schools will play their bi-district playoffs on Oct. 11.
 
The Cy-Fair High School tennis team finished as the No. 3 seed in District 17-6A and will open
the postseason on Oct. 11 against Houston Lamar.
 

The Bobcats will face Houston Lamar at 2:30 p.m. at Cy-Fair High School (22602 Northwest Freeway). The Falcons will meet Houston Bellaire at 3 p.m. at Jersey Village High School (7600 Solomon Street).

The winners will advance to the area round with the deadline for the round being Oct. 15.
