Boots & Brews 2025 to Kick Off Katy Rice Harvest Festival with Music, Dancing, and Community Spirit

July 16 2025

The Katy community is lacing up its boots for an all-new tradition. On Saturday, September 13, from 7 to 11 p.m., the First Annual Boots & Brews will transform Historic Town Square into a high-energy celebration—serving as the official kickoff to the 2025 Katy Rice Harvest Festival.

Hosted at 904 Avenue C in front of Katy City Hall, the free event aims to channel the spirit of the beloved Street Dance while ushering in something even bigger. Local families, music lovers, and festivalgoers alike can expect a full evening of dancing, live performances, craft brews, and interactive attractions.

A New Tradition with Heart

Backed by the City of Katy and benefiting the Rotary Club of Katy’s Scholarship Fund, the new kickoff event blends entertainment with purpose. Organizers say it’s more than a party—it’s a way to unite the community while giving back to local students.

“Sometimes we get the chance to create experiences that truly resonate with our community—and from those moments, something even bigger begins to take shape,” said Kaci Maris, Tourism and Marketing Event Coordinator for the City of Katy. “The Inaugural Boots and Brews: Kickoff to the Katy Rice Harvest Festival is becoming just that.”

What to Expect at Boots & Brews

The evening’s entertainment is stacked with local talent and high-octane fun:

  • Live music from Payton Howie, a Texas powerhouse known for blending Southern grit with modern energy
  • The Earl Sanders Jr. Band, a Katy favorite bringing soulful country and crowd-pleasing hits
  • Brews pouring all night from regional breweries and local favorites
  • A dance floor made for boots, encouraging attendees to show off their best two-step
  • Mechanical bulls, custom hat bars, and family-friendly games
  • Food vendors serving up festival favorites, local bites, and sweet treats

With its small-town charm and big festival spirit, Boots & Brews is shaping up to be a must-attend event for both longtime Katy area residents and newcomers.

Giving Back Through Celebration

The event’s proceeds will benefit the Rotary Scholarship Fund, which directly supports Katy-area students.

“What started as an idea is now growing into an unforgettable evening, thanks to the incredible support of new partners joining us daily," Maris added. “Great night. Great people. Great cause. I can’t wait."
