Blue Bell’s Lone Star Scoop Tour Bringing Free Ice Cream Stops to Richmond and Rosenberg This May
For many Texans, Blue Bell Ice Cream is more than dessert — it is part of family traditions, summer memories, and hometown pride. Later this month, Fort Bend County residents will have a chance to celebrate that connection firsthand as the Blue Bell Lone Star Scoop Tour rolls into Richmond and Rosenberg with free ice cream, frozen treats, and giveaways.
The Texas-based company announced multiple stops in the area as part of its statewide tour designed to thank communities that have supported Blue Bell Creameries for more than 100 years. The Blue Bell-branded special events truck and trailer will visit local Walmart and Kroger stores, offering residents a chance to sample some of the company’s most popular flavors while connecting with neighbors over a shared Texas staple.
The event is expected to draw families, students, and longtime Blue Bell fans looking for a fun and free community outing heading into summer.

A Texas Brand Continuing to Grow
The Lone Star Scoop Tour arrives during a busy season for Blue Bell Creameries, which has continued expanding both its product lineup and geographic reach throughout 2026.
Most recently, the Brenham-based company introduced its limited-time Brookie À La Mode Ice Cream, featuring brown sugar ice cream mixed with brownie chunks and chocolate chip cookie pieces. Blue Bell also launched Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, another limited-edition flavor blending classic vanilla with sweet honey notes.
The company has also entered the growing high-protein dessert market with the debut of Blue Bell PRO, a new dairy dessert line offering up to 35 grams of protein per pint with no added sugar and fewer calories. The lineup includes Chocolate, Coffee, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, and Vanilla flavors.
Beyond Texas and the South, Blue Bell has also continued expanding into new markets. Earlier this year, the company officially launched distribution into Cincinnati, Dayton, and surrounding Ohio communities through a new distribution center in Lebanon, Ohio. The expansion includes retail partnerships, local hiring efforts, and community sampling events similar to the Lone Star Scoop Tour stops taking place across Texas.
More Texas Tour Stops Still Ahead
Blue Bell says additional cities and dates will continue to be added throughout the year as the Lone Star Scoop Tour travels across Texas.
For Fort Bend County residents, the Richmond and Rosenberg stops offer more than free ice cream. They also reflect the way familiar Texas brands continue investing in local communities through family-friendly events that bring neighbors together.
As summer approaches, organizers expect the tour to provide a welcome opportunity for residents to slow down, enjoy a sweet treat, and share a little hometown pride.
