Austin Orthopedic Institute Expands Into Georgetown, Bringing Specialized Orthopedic Care Closer to Williamson County Residents

June 18 2026

As Georgetown continues to welcome new residents and experience steady growth, access to specialized healthcare has become an increasingly important part of the community conversation. Beginning June 22, Georgetown-area residents will have a new option for orthopedic and musculoskeletal care close to home when Austin Orthopedic Institute opens its newest clinic at 1410 Blue Ridge Drive, Suite 100.

For many patients in Williamson County, the new facility could mean fewer miles on the road and quicker access to evaluations, treatment plans, rehabilitation services, and surgical consultations. Whether recovering from a sports injury, managing chronic joint pain, or exploring treatment options for mobility challenges, residents will now have a dedicated orthopedic center located within the community they call home.

Growing Healthcare Access Alongside Georgetown's Growth

The opening comes at a time when Georgetown remains one of the fastest-growing communities in Central Texas. As new neighborhoods, businesses, and schools continue to emerge throughout the region, healthcare providers are increasingly expanding services to meet the needs of a larger and more active population.

Austin Orthopedic Institute said the Georgetown clinic was established to serve both existing patients in Williamson County and new patients seeking specialized orthopedic care without traveling farther into the Austin metropolitan area.

The facility will offer a full range of orthopedic services, including sports medicine, total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and general musculoskeletal care. The clinic will also focus on diagnostic, preventative, and therapeutic treatments designed to help patients maintain mobility and improve quality of life.

A Local Investment in Williamson County

According to Austin Orthopedic Institute leadership, the expansion represents more than simply opening another office location.

"We're a physician-owned, independent practice — decisions about where we go and how we care for patients are made by the people providing that care, not a distant corporate parent," said Yvonne Powers, AOI Practice Administrator.

Powers said the organization's decision to establish a permanent presence in Georgetown reflects a long-term commitment to serving local families and growing alongside the community.

"Choosing to invest across the Williamson County communities reflects a long-term commitment, not a short-term footprint," Powers said.

She added that the practice plans to continue building relationships with residents as the area evolves.

"We intend to be here, grow with the area, and build the kind of relationships that come from being a local part of people's lives," Powers said.

Fellowship-Trained Specialists and Comprehensive Care

The Georgetown clinic will be staffed by a multidisciplinary team that includes fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeons, physician assistants, physical therapists, and other specialized medical professionals.

Austin Orthopedic Institute provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, with expertise in sports medicine, joint reconstruction, trauma care, physical therapy, and musculoskeletal health. The organization emphasizes evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, with a focus on restoring function, reducing pain, and helping patients return to daily activities safely.

For active adults, student-athletes, seniors, and families throughout Georgetown, Round Rock, Hutto, Liberty Hill, Jarrell, and surrounding Williamson County communities, the additional healthcare access could provide greater convenience when seeking specialized orthopedic services.

What Residents Should Know

Appointments for the new Georgetown location are now available for scheduling ahead of the June 22 opening. Residents can review available services, clinic hours, and appointment information through Austin Orthopedic Institute.

As Georgetown continues to grow, healthcare infrastructure remains an important part of supporting the community's long-term quality of life. The arrival of Austin Orthopedic Institute adds another specialized medical resource to the area, helping ensure residents have access to orthopedic care closer to where they live, work, and play.

For many local families, that means spending less time commuting for appointments and more time focused on recovery, wellness, and staying active.
