Aristoi Classical Academy Secures Permanent Campus for Cypress Location, Launches $14M Expansion
Families across Northwest Houston who have been part of the Aristoi Classical Academy Cypress journey now have cause to celebrate: the school has officially announced the purchase and future opening of its first permanent campus at 13631 Ardfield Drive in Houston.
The new 72,242-square-foot site will become the long-term home for Aristoi Classical Academy’s Cypress campus, which has operated since the fall of 2020 inside Crossover Bible Fellowship Church on Perry Road near Willowbrook Mall. As enrollment has surged and the school has expanded to include more grade levels, the growing campus has long outgrown the church facility that has housed it for the past five years.
“As of December 23rd, 2025, we are the proud owners of 13631 Ardfield Drive, our future permanent K-12 campus in the Cypress area,” said Jonathan Mueller, Superintendent of Aristoi Classical Academy. “There is much work yet to be done, but this is a tremendous milestone for Aristoi Classical Academy, one that will be a source of blessing to scholars and families for years to come.”
From Temporary Roots to a Permanent Home
When Aristoi Cypress opened its doors in fall 2020, it was with a vision: to bring classical, liberal arts education to families in Cypress and Northwest Houston. While the school’s rented space at Crossover Bible Fellowship served as a starting point, the long-term goal was always to establish a dedicated campus that could support a full K–12 academic program.
Now, with over 600 students enrolled in the 2025–2026 academic year across grades Kindergarten through 10th grade, that vision is becoming a reality. The new Ardfield Drive campus—located just minutes from the current site—will include the full renovation of an existing 59,000-square-foot building, the construction of a new gymnasium, and additional site development. The $14 million privately funded project is expected to be completed by November 2026.
“Our future campus represents more than just a building—it’s a place where generations of students will learn to think deeply, speak clearly, and live virtuously,” Mueller said.
Classical Education in Cypress: A Growing Movement
Aristoi Classical Academy, founded in 1996, is a tuition-free public charter school system focused on the Classical Liberal Arts tradition. Its model, rooted in the Trivium—Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric—places emphasis on critical thinking, moral character, and effective communication.
Districtwide, Aristoi serves more than 1,700 students across campuses in Katy and Cypress. The Cypress campus was designed to be the network’s primary growth site, serving families in Cypress, Tomball, and greater Northwest Houston who seek an alternative to traditional public schools.
The school boasts a favorable 15:1 student-to-teacher ratio and a rigorous academic culture, with reading proficiency outperforming many regional averages. Signature programs like the Living History Museum, Choir Club, and multiple sports teams reflect the school’s emphasis on well-rounded student development.
“This community has been incredibly patient and dedicated while we awaited this news,” said Mueller. “We’re excited to move forward together and to continue building something lasting for Northwest Houston.”
Construction Underway, Community Celebrations to Come
Construction officially began in early January, with Houston-based Butler Cohen serving as the design-build firm. The school is planning a series of community events, including a groundbreaking ceremony and construction milestone updates, to involve families throughout the transition.
Mueller emphasized safety at the site and encouraged families to admire the progress from a distance. “We have an ambitious timeline for completing the project, which includes the construction of a new gym, and will be sharing updates regularly,” he said. “You are welcome to drive by and dream of what the future holds, as I have many times!”
As the school prepares to move out of its temporary church home and into a space designed specifically for its mission, students and families alike are watching a long-held dream take shape.
“This major step forward allows us to fully live out the mission of Aristoi Classical Academy at our future home,” said Mueller.
