Are you ready for spring?
- Cleaning gutters and downspouts. Check that your gutters are safely attached and sturdy.
- Check for signs of termites or any other invasive creatures.
- Inspect your roof. Clear off any tree branches or debris, look for loose shingles.
- Be sure to check sprinklers and irrigation systems for cracks in the lines or broken heads.
- Change air filters and ensure your HVAC is in good working condition, ready for the hot summer months.
- Be sure to empty any standing water after any spring showers to deter mosquitoes from breeding.
- If you have a chimney, check for vegetation grow ing from between the bricks or any missing or loose joints.
- Check for leaky faucets, clogged drains and sweaty pipes.
- Rake lawns, aerate if possible, to encourage new grass growth.
- Inspect gas grills that have not been used all winter. Test burner jets for clogs and gas connections are sound.
