Are you ready for spring?

1. Cleaning gutters and downspouts. Check that your gutters are safely attached and sturdy.
2. Check for signs of termites or any other invasive creatures.
3. Inspect your roof. Clear off any tree branches or debris, look for loose shingles.
4. Be sure to check sprinklers and irrigation systems for cracks in the lines or broken heads.
5. Change air filters and ensure your HVAC is in good working condition, ready for the hot summer months.
6. Be sure to empty any standing water after any spring showers to deter mosquitoes from breeding.
7. If you have a chimney, check for vegetation grow ing from between the bricks or any missing or loose joints.
8. Check for leaky faucets, clogged drains and sweaty pipes.
9. Rake lawns, aerate if possible, to encourage new grass growth.
10. Inspect gas grills that have not been used all winter. Test burner jets for clogs and gas connections are sound.
