All Twelve CFISD Marching Bands Advance to Area Competition
All 12 CFISD high school marching bands advanced to the UIL Area I Marching Band Contest after earning all superior ratings at the UIL Region 27 Marching Contest on Oct. 14 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. The region competition was hosted by the Cypress Woods High School band program.
The Area I Contest will be held at Katy ISD’s Legacy Stadium (1830 Katyland Dr.) on Oct. 21. Marching bands from Waller, Houston, Katy and Spring Branch school districts will join CFISD qualifiers.

We look forward to another great weekend in Katy ISD as our bands compete for the opportunity to advance to the UIL State Marching Band Contest.”

Following the preliminary round, 10 finalists will return to perform in the evening, with the final to begin at 7:30 p.m. The Drum Major Retreat and announcement of UIL state qualifiers will begin at 10:45 p.m.
