A Taste of Cy-Fair Returns May 2: A Community Favorite Reignites with Food, Music, and Purpose in Bridgeland

March 19 2026

Residents across Cypress and the greater Cy-Fair area will soon have a chance to reconnect over food, music, and community impact as the 7th Annual A Taste of Cy-Fair returns on May 2, 2026, at Lakeland Village Center in Bridgeland. For many, this event is more than a night out—it’s a reflection of the area’s strong local spirit and commitment to giving back.

Originally launched in 2017 in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, A Taste of Cy-Fair was created by local restauranteurs, business owners, and residents to support neighbors in need. Nearly a decade later, that same purpose remains at the heart of the event, with all proceeds continuing to benefit Cy-Hope, a nonprofit serving the Cy-Fair community.

Blending Local Flavor with Local Impact

Set in Bridgeland at 10615 Fry Road in Cypress, this year’s outdoor event will feature dozens of Cy-Fair and Houston-area restaurants, offering attendees a wide variety of cuisines—from Tex-Mex and barbecue to desserts and specialty bites. Participating names include well-known favorites like Torchy’s Tacos, Texas Roadhouse, Lazy Dog, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Whataburger, Fogo de Chão, and Tiff’s Treats, alongside local gems and small businesses such as Paddy’s Gourmet Popcorn, K&K Cheesecakes, Suzybeez Bakery, Alicia’s Mexican Grille, and Backyard Grill.

For residents, it’s a chance to discover new go-to spots while supporting the businesses that help define Cy-Fair’s growing culinary identity.

Wine enthusiasts can explore a curated selection of reds, whites, and sparkling options, while beer lovers will find craft brews from local and Texas favorites like Karbach Brewing Company, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, Eureka Heights Brew Co., and Real Ale Brewing Co. Guests 21 and older will receive a commemorative tasting glass to enjoy throughout the evening.

More Than Food: Music, Market Finds, and Community Connection

Beyond the tasting experience, A Taste of Cy-Fair offers a full evening of entertainment and engagement. Live music will take center stage, with Randy Hulsey performing on the main stage and Nate Gordon featured in the VIP tent, creating a lively backdrop for the event.

The A Taste of Cy-Fair market will feature local vendors and small businesses, including Yarn & Cherry, Halison’s Craftroom, Violet’s Crafts, Trendy Sweetz & Treatz, KC Embroider With, The Bearded Brotherhood, Shosho’s Kitchen, Pet Wants Cypress, and The Tree Rat Symposium, along with wellness providers like MaxLiving Chiropractic and Ignite Chiropractic.

Attendees can also participate in the silent auction, which opens online a week prior to the event. Featuring unique items, services, and experiences, the auction is another way for residents to contribute directly to Cy-Hope’s mission.

Supporting Cy-Hope: Why This Event Matters Locally

While the food and festivities draw crowds, the deeper impact of A Taste of Cy-Fair lies in its support of Cy-Hope, an organization that provides critical services to families across the Cy-Fair area.

Cy-Hope programs include:

  • The Backpack Program, in partnership with the Houston Food Bank, supporting Cy-Fair ISD students facing food insecurity
  • Counseling and speech therapy services for children and families
  • Educational camps and enrichment opportunities for underserved youth
  • Hope Centers, offering homework help, life skills training, and safe spaces for kids after school

For many families in Cypress, these services are not abstract—they are essential.
