10 for Texas Returns October 10 With Kids’ Run, Live Music and Lake Woodlands Traffic Changes
The Woodlands’ October 10 race morning offers more than a finish line: Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas will bring three races and a post-race gathering with live music to Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive.
The Township’s September 24 update reported limited entries remaining for the 10-mile race, 3.1 Armadillo Run 5K and One 4 Texas Kids’ Fun Run. Participants and spectators are invited to the post-race celebration, making Northshore Park a place for families to gather and cheer as well as compete.
When to arrive
- 7 a.m.: Kids’ fun run
- 7:30 a.m.: 5K
- 7:35 a.m.: 10-mile wheelchair division
- 7:40 a.m.: 10-mile race
- 9:30 a.m.: Awards
- 11 a.m.: Event ends
There is no race-day registration. Check current availability through the official race page. Packet pickup is October 8, 8:30 a.m.–6 p.m., and October 9, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., at Township Town Hall, 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard, through the Board Chambers entrance. Race-day pickup is restricted to participants who registered and paid for that option.
Traffic and spectator planning
Lake Woodlands Drive lane and road restrictions run from 6–10:30 a.m., including eastbound access between East Panther Creek and Lake Front Circle. Windward Cove residents retain neighborhood access; other affected traffic is detoured to Woodlands Parkway. Allow extra travel time and follow deputies’ directions.
Use the official parking and closure maps when planning your route. Traffic questions can be directed to 281-210-2099, staffed around the clock October 8–10.
The start/finish area is a convenient cheering spot. Parking is free. A race bib is required for the athlete food tent; the invitation to enjoy the celebration does not mean spectator access to that tent.
