November 07 2022

Have a safe and wonderful holiday season!

Thanksgiving
Although this is the day that generally gets looked over in preparation for Christmas, we need to take the time and reflect on this day appointed for giving thanks for the many Blessing in our lives and the lives of those who look over us. Celebrate with your family and friends with food, fun and laughter. Make the memories. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Christmas

Christmas will be here before you know it. There will be a decoration contest and the winner will receive $50 gift card. Judging will take place on December 15th .  More information will be available on Town Square.

Assessments
The Yorktown HOA Board has maintained the 2023 assessment at $365.00 per home. You will receive your account statements in November and payments are due on January 1, 2023. It is important that you pay your assessments on time to avoid late fees and additional penalties in 2023.

Trash Talk
Trash pickup is on Monday and Thursday.. Trash bags need to be put in trash cans, we have tons of stray cats and other animals that get into the trash bags. Please remove your trash cans out of sight after trash is picked up.

Security
The officers that patrol our neighborhood are contracted by us and are here to protect us and our property. They have no concern of your immigration status, so please call them. If you see something, say something. Call the sheriff’s department 713-221-6000. Lock your car doors and take your valuables out of your car.

If you hear unusual noises outside your home late at night, PLEASE do not go outside to investigate. We do not recommend investigating alone in the dark.  Call 911 and let the police check out the problem. Your life is more important than someone getting into your vehicle or trespassing. Lock your car doors and remove valuable items. Please file police reports even if nothing was stolen. This will help show HCSD how serious this problem is.

Vacation Watch
If you are planning a vacation for an extended time you can go to www.harriscountyso.org/Programs/programs_VacationWatch.aspx and you can submit a form for the Sheriff’s department to keep an eye on your house while you are away.
