WoodCreek Elementary Principal Works from the Roof to Celebrate $81K Fundraiser Success
When WoodCreek Elementary challenged its students with an ambitious fundraising goal, they didn't just meet expectations—they soared past them. After raising an impressive $81,000 during the school's Booster-thon Color Run fundraiser in February 2025, students, teachers, staff and volunteers came together for a joyful celebration on April 28, 2025, topped off by a rooftop appearance from Principal Ronnie Mosher.
The PTA-sponsored event rewarded students not only for exceeding the original $70,000 goal but also for a year filled with teamwork and school spirit. True to his word, Mosher spent the entire day working atop the school roof, equipped with his laptop, table, and plenty of shade..
“This is such a fun way to reward the students for meeting our goal but also for a great year,” Mosher said. “It’s a unique way to celebrate and I really appreciate our District Operations team for making it all possible.”

Down below, students enjoyed a Spring Party Day packed with high-energy fun. Bounce houses, outdoor games, popcorn stands, and lively music transformed the school grounds into a festival of smiles and celebration.
The highly successful fundraiser will support upcoming campus beautification projects at WoodCreek Elementary, enriching the learning environment for students and staff alike. The effort was part of the nationally popular Booster-thon fundraising model, which encourages healthy activity and student engagement through school-wide fun runs.
Leading up to the big day, students participated in daily incentive events designed to maintain momentum and build excitement. Pajama days, popsicle parties, silly string battles, and even special story time sessions with Principal Mosher added a personal and playful touch to the campaign.

This marks the second time Mosher has made good on his promise to take to the rooftop, a tradition that’s now a beloved part of the school’s culture. His lighthearted leadership and dedication to student success left a strong impression on both children and parents.
“It was a day to remember at WoodCreek Elementary—and a perfect reminder of what’s possible when students, staff and families work together.”
