WS Dolphins Ready for the 2022 Challenge!
The Williamsburg Settlement Dolphins are off and going on a busy and exciting swim season. For the first time since 2019, the team is having a “normal” year. The Dolphins will swim in four swim meets against in-person opponents, as well as compete in the postseason “Meet of Champions.”
Some neighbors probably noticed the traffic headache caused by our “Blue and White Meet”, held May 26 on the last day of school. This is a practice meet that gives the coaches a chance to get race times of swimmers; as well as giving newer and younger swimmers the chance to experience a meet before the real thing. But don’t worry, The Dolphins home swim meets this year will be at the Morton Ranch High School Natatorium, so parking won’t be an issue.
We are lucky to have the largest team we’ve ever had and are excited to get to see so many awesome faces becoming better swimmers every day. Here are just five of them!
We couldn’t do it without our awesome swim parents, our board and our amazing coaches. We welcomed back Head Coach Morgan for her 2nd season with the Dolphins after spending many years with our neighbors, the Cimarron Swordfish. We were excited to have Coach Anna back, who has been a part of the Dolphins since she was 4. Joining us for her first time coaching summer swim team is Coach Ally, a Fightin’ Texas Aggie who just graduated and will be headed to Grad school in the Fall.
We’re proud to be a part of the Settlement and proud of the people that make up this team. Our Dolphins have been practicing every day since the last week of April, and we’re ready to swim fast! Go Dolphins!
