Where to Donate Outgrown Clothes Near You

Where to Donate Outgrown Clothes Near You

September 07 2023

One of the many to-do items on our back-to-school list is buying new clothes for our growing kiddos. To make way for new clothes, worn-out and outgrown clothes often end up in a trash bag or shopping bag with an undetermined destination.

Before you drop off those items at a for-profit resale shop or leave them on the curb for free pickup, consider donating them to a local nonprofit. Many charitable organizations in the area run resale shops of their own, with proceeds going right back into their programs to help your neighbors in need. Are you worried that your items might be too worn out to be reused? Many nonprofits will gladly accept such articles and recycle them for cash! It's a win-win.

Check out this list of nonprofits near you and make plans to drop off your items this week.

Tomball Emergency Assistance Ministries (TEAM)

TEAM relies on donations of gently-used goods from the community to sell in our Resale Shop. 100% of the proceeds are used to support their food pantry, social programs, and the operating costs of their assistance ministry. The TEAM Resale Shop is located at 300 W. Main Street in downtown Tomball. You may drop off your donations at their double doors next to the POD in the alley behind their building. Donations are currently accepted Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. During these hours, TEAM has volunteers and staff who will help you unload. For more information about large donation pickup, acceptable items and more, please visit teamtomball.com/donate-goods
