Where to Donate Outgrown Clothes Near You
September 07 2023
One of the many to-do items on our back-to-school list is buying new clothes for our growing kiddos. To make way for new clothes, worn-out and outgrown clothes often end up in a trash bag or shopping bag with an undetermined destination.
Before you drop off those items at a for-profit resale shop or leave them on the curb for free pickup, consider donating them to a local nonprofit. Many charitable organizations in the area run resale shops of their own, with proceeds going right back into their programs to help your neighbors in need. Are you worried that your items might be too worn out to be reused? Many nonprofits will gladly accept such articles and recycle them for cash! It's a win-win.
Check out this nonprofit near you and make plans to drop off your items this week.

Feeling inspired? Contact your community manager or HOA to organize a neighborhood-wide clothing drive benefitting a local nonprofit! Many charities can even help with pickup of donated items at your designated drop-off location like the neighborhood park or clubhouse. Once your plans are in place, send the details to your dedicated My Neighborhood News team and we will gladly help you spread the word to your neighbors! When we all chip in, we can make a real difference right here in our own community.
