Westlake and Westlake Forest Pools Open Daily for Summer Swimming

June 10 2026

Westlake and Westlake Forest Pools Now Open Seven Days a Week

For many families in Westlake and Westlake Forest, the neighborhood pool is one of the simple joys of summer — a place to cool off, spend time with neighbors and give kids a familiar place to enjoy the season close to home.

The Westlake and Westlake Forest swimming pools are now open seven days a week from 9 AM to 9 PM, giving residents more flexibility to enjoy the community amenities throughout the week. Pool cleanings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays, helping keep the facilities ready for homeowners and their immediate families during the summer season.

Because these are community pools, a few important reminders can help keep the experience safe, respectful and enjoyable for everyone.

Swim at Your Own Risk: No Lifeguards on Duty

Residents should be aware that the Westlake and Westlake Forest pools are swim-at-your-own-risk facilities. There are no lifeguards on duty, and there is no daily concierge service at the pool.

That means parents, guardians and adult residents are responsible for supervision and safety while inside the pool area. The recorded Westlake Community Improvement Association Swimming Pool Rules state that all swimmers swim at their own risk and that persons under age 17 must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 years of age or older at all times.

For younger swimmers, the rules also include adult-to-child supervision ratios. One adult is required for each swimmer under age 8, one adult is required for every two swimmers ages 8 through 12, and one adult is required for every three swimmers ages 13 through 16.

No Diving, No Running and No Unsafe Pool Conduct

To help prevent injuries, diving is not allowed at the pools. Residents are also reminded that running, horseplay, pushing, loud music, offensive language and other behavior that could disrupt or endanger others is prohibited in the pool area.

The rules also prohibit standing, sitting or playing on the division rope. Extended breath-holding activities are not allowed, and the pool area must be cleared during rain, lightning or thunderstorms.

These reminders are not just rules on paper. They are part of keeping a shared neighborhood space safe for children, families, older residents and anyone looking for a peaceful swim close to home.

Pool Gates Must Stay Closed

Access control is another important part of pool safety in Westlake and Westlake Forest.

The gate must remain closed at all times. People already inside the pool area may not open the gate for others who do not have authorized access. According to the recorded swimming pool rules, all swimmers must have authorized pool access through the Association’s access control system or be a guest of a resident with authorized pool access.

This helps protect the neighborhood pool as a private amenity for current homeowners and approved users, while also supporting safety and accountability inside the pool enclosure.

Pool Access Information for Residents

The Westlake Community Improvement Association previously updated the pool access system software, and residents should note that current key fobs may not work. The Association has provided a free access option through an app.

Residents may register through the homeowner portal at home.inframark.com by selecting “Requests,” then “General Request,” then “Access Request.” Residents may also email the Inframark Access Department at access@inframark.com and provide their name and property address to request registration in the PDK system.

Once added, residents should receive an email invitation to use the app. The Association asks residents to allow two to three business days for the email address to be uploaded into the system. Residents are also encouraged to check spam or junk folders for the invitation email.

Each household is limited to a maximum of eight individuals for pool access. Residents who prefer to purchase a key fob may do so for $20 by downloading the pool registration form from the homeowner portal under the “Forms” section and submitting it to access@inframark.com.

For questions, residents may email communitymanagement@inframark.com, submit an inquiry through the homeowner portal or call 281-870-0585.

A Few More Reminders Before Heading to the Pool

Residents should also keep in mind several additional Westlake pool rules intended to help keep the shared space clean, safe and comfortable.

Glass items, alcohol, smoking, vaping and chewing gum are not permitted in the pool area. Pets are also prohibited. Proper swim attire is required, and cutoffs, T-shirts and similar swim shirts are allowed. Children under 42 inches may use the baby pool but must be supervised at all times.

The rules also remind residents not to swim if they have been ill with diarrhea within the past two weeks, and that changing diapers within six feet of the pool is prohibited.

All patrons are expected to clean up after themselves before leaving. Violations may result in suspension or revocation of swimming privileges.

A Shared Amenity Worth Protecting

The neighborhood pools are part of what many residents value about life in Westlake and Westlake Forest — convenient access to summer recreation, a familiar place for families and a shared space that supports community connection.

With the pools now open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM, residents have more opportunities to enjoy the season. Following the posted rules, keeping gates secure and respecting swim-at-your-own-risk safety expectations will help ensure the pools remain welcoming and well-maintained throughout the summer.

Residents are encouraged to stay tuned to My Neighborhood News for future Westlake and Westlake Forest community updates.
