Katy-area families have an opportunity to enjoy a little Halloween fun while learning something useful about one of the region's most important resources. Water Wise Fest is coming to Central Green at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch on Saturday, October 31, 2026, bringing together water conservation education, children's activities and giveaways in a family-friendly setting.

For residents of Lakemont, which is located within the North Fort Bend Water Authority's service area, the event offers a chance to better understand how everyday water use connects to the long-term sustainability of the community's water supply.

Hosted by surrounding Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs), the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Central Green, located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, Katy, TX 77494. Inframark, a water and wastewater management company and part of Azuria Water Solutions, is promoting the event alongside participating water organizations.

Why Water Conservation Matters in North Fort Bend County

Water conservation is an ongoing priority for communities served by the North Fort Bend Water Authority, which works to reduce the area's dependence on groundwater and support the transition to alternative water supplies.

As residential and commercial development continues across Katy and Fort Bend County, responsible water use remains an important part of planning for future demand. The authority's work is particularly relevant to homeowners living within its service area, where water supply planning and groundwater reduction efforts help shape how local utilities meet the needs of growing neighborhoods.

For residents, Water Wise Fest provides an opportunity to connect those larger regional efforts with practical habits at home, from managing outdoor irrigation to identifying ways to reduce unnecessary water consumption.

The authority also offers residents resources such as sprinkler system evaluations, water conservation rebates and customized watering recommendations through its Water My Yard program. More information is available at nfbwa.com.

Plan Your Visit to Water Wise Fest on October 31

Water Wise Fest is scheduled for Halloween Saturday, making it an easy addition to a family's weekend plans. The event is free to attend, and a Halloween-themed Tent and Treat activity has also been advertised in connection with the gathering. Costumes are welcome!

With activities for children and information for Lakemont homeowners, the event offers something for families interested in learning more about the water systems serving their neighborhoods.
