Understanding Stone Gate’s Gated Entry System: What New and Existing Residents Should Know
Whether you’re a new homeowner, adding a teen driver to your household, or just replaced your vehicle, understanding how Stone Gate’s gated entry system works will make daily life—and welcoming guests—much easier.
Many sections of Stone Gate are gated with 24/7 closed gates, designed to offer both peace of mind and traffic control. The neighborhood uses a LiftMaster entry system that blends security with convenience, but it does require residents to stay up to date on their vehicle tags, directory listings, and entry codes.
New Vehicle? Here’s What to Do
If you’ve recently purchased a new car or are adding another family vehicle, you’ll need to register its EZ Tag with the HOA so it can be added to the system. This allows for automatic gate access via the far right EZ Tag lane.
To register:
- Submit the online form here or email stonegatetx@ccmcnet.com
- Include your EZ Tag number, vehicle details, and proof of residency (an insurance card or EZ Tag bill showing your address).
- Only vehicles registered to verified homeowners or renters can be added.
Each resident can only gain automatic entry into the specific gated section where they live. If you’re visiting a friend in another section, you’ll need to use their directory code or contact the Gate Attendant.

Gate Entry Options for Residents
- EZ Tag Access: Once registered, simply drive through the far right lane. A green light under the Transcore Reader means your tag has been read and the gate will open.
- Personal Entry Code (PIN): Each household is assigned a 5-digit PIN by the HOA. This code can be used by members of your household via the left lane callbox. Never share this code with guests—it’s strictly for household members.
- Access Cards and Key Fobs: Available for purchase from the onsite office:
- Access Card: $10
- Key Fob: $15
- Transcore Sticker: $25
- Stone Gate Sticker: Free
- Replacement fee: $5 + cost of new item
Letting Visitors In
Visitor Entry via Directory Code
Guests can press the Phone Call button at the callbox, then either:
- Enter your directory code, or
- Search your name to call you directly.
- Once you answer, press 9 on your phone to open the gate for them.
Gate Attendant Assistance
At the main Canyon Gate entrance, the Gate Attendant can help visitors without tags or entry codes. There's no callbox at this location, so visitors must:
- Press “Call the Gate Attendant” at the gate terminal.
- Provide your name or address for entry.
This is especially helpful for deliveries, contractors, or guests unfamiliar with the system.

What Renters Should Know
Both owners and renters have access to the system, but with separate accounts. This ensures tenant access can be removed when they move out while keeping owner information intact.
To get access, renters should:
- Visit the onsite office with a copy of the lease and photo ID.
- Request entry codes and amenity access.
Keep It Secure
For your safety:
- Never share your personal entry code outside your household.
- Use your directory code for guests and service providers.
Make sure vehicle tag information stays current—especially after getting a new vehicle or switching tags.
Need Help?
- Email vehicle tag requests to stonegatetx@ccmcnet.com
- Submit EZ Tag forms here
- Visit onsite management for access devices and questions.
By staying familiar with Stone Gate’s gated entry and visitor system, you’ll keep your home secure while making daily comings and goings hassle-free—for you and your guests.
