Towne Lake Boardwalk Lights Green and Rallies Community to Support Texas Hill Country Flood Victims
When historic floods swept through the Texas Hill Country earlier this month, their devastating impact left families displaced and communities struggling to recover. In response, The Boardwalk at Towne Lake announced a unified relief effort, symbolized by lighting its waterfront green in a tribute of hope and solidarity for Kerr County and the greater Central Texas region.
A spokesperson for the Boardwalk shared in a social media post, “Our hearts go out to Kerr County and all those impacted by the devastating Texas Hill Country floods. We are lighting The Boardwalk green as a symbol of hope and solidarity.”
The initiative is a symbol of the power of community—a message resonating strongly with Towne Lake residents. Boardwalk businesses have quickly stepped in to offer tangible ways for locals to help those in need:
-
Torchy’s Tacos – Donating a portion of every Taco of the Month sold directly to flood relief efforts.
-
Orangetheory Fitness Towne Lake – Partnering with Convoy of Hope to collect food, water, and critical supplies at their designated drop-off center.
-
The Union Kitchen – Contributing proceeds from its Gr8 Giving Menu throughout August, with additional donation boxes available at all locations.
-
Kendra Scott – Donating 100% of proceeds from Everlyne bracelets to support victims and their families.
-
Hopdoddy – Hosted a giveback event on July 9 that raised $40,000 for Texas Search and Rescue.
-
The Royal Standard – Running a two-week Charity of the Month drive benefiting the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund through The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, where each $1 donation earns an entry into a raffle for a $150 themed gift basket.
