Tornado Recovery in Cypress and Champions: Debris Drop-Off Sites and Help Available Through Harris County Precinct 3
Following the damaging tornado and severe storms that swept through the Cypress and Champions areas earlier this week, Harris County Precinct 3 is mobilizing cleanup efforts and connecting residents with vital support services.
To assist with storm recovery, temporary debris drop-off sites have been established for affected Harris County residents. These locations will be open for a limited time with updated hours:
-
December 1–5: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
-
December 6–7: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Drop-off Locations
Deputy Darren Goforth Park (Dog Park Side)
9402 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, TX 77095 (MAP)
Kissing Tree Park
5707 Louetta Road, Spring, TX 77379 (MAP)
These sites provide a central location for residents to dispose of debris safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of further damage or hazards in neighborhoods already coping with cleanup and repair.
Roadside Debris Pickup Begins December 1
In addition to the drop-off locations, Precinct 3 crews will begin roadside debris removal starting Monday, December 1, 2025, in neighborhoods hardest hit by the tornado. Residents are urged to properly separate their debris into the following categories to ensure smooth pickup:
-
Vegetative Debris: Tree limbs, leaves, plants
-
Construction and Demolition Materials: Drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture
-
Appliances and White Goods: Refrigerators, washers, dryers (doors removed)
-
Electronics: TVs, computers
-
Household Hazardous Waste: Paint, oil, cleaning supplies (do not mix)
Report debris for pickup by calling the Precinct 3 Service Request Line at 713-274-3100 or by submitting an online request at pct3.com/service-request. Be sure to select “Road & Bridge Maintenance” in the drop-down menu to ensure the request is routed properly.
