Tomball FFA Welcomes New Officers, Awarded Distinction
This spring, the Tomball FFA announced officers for the 2023-2024 school year. Voting on the 2022-2023 officer team. Fifteen members ran for officer, subject to the completion of a test and interview portion of the election process and personal introductions to the chapter prior to the commencement of voting. In addition to their assigned duties according to their respective positions, they will be required to attend all chapter meetings, pass all classes, serve as a chairperson for at least one meeting, attend the State FFA Convention and district leadership camp, planning community service projects, try out and participate on a LDE and CDE team, and more.
The Tomball FFA officers are as follows:
President: Kyle LeibhamKyle Leibham will be serving as the Tomball FFA president for the 2023-2024 school year. In the fall, Kyle will be a part of the Senior Quiz and Chapter Conducting LDE teams, and in the spring, he will be a member of the Poultry judging and Farm Business Management CDE teams. Along with his teams, Kyle will raise both a steer and chickens for this year's FFA project show. |

Vice President: Andrew AlemanAndrew Aleman will serve as the Tomball FFA Vice President for the 2023-2024 school year. He has been apart of this organization since his freshman year, raising lambs and being a part of the Horse Judging and Wildlife Teams. |

Secretary: Rylynn BradfordRylynn Bradford will be serving as the Tomball FFA Secretary for the 2023-2024 school year. She is currently a senior, and I has been a part of FFA since my freshman year. Rylynn has competed on the Greenhand Quiz, Ag Advocacy, and Ag Issues LDE teams and Poultry Judging, Floriculture and State qualifying Dairy Cattle judging CDE teams. She has also raised goats in both 4-H and FFA. Rylynn is a member of the Texas High School Rodeo Association and competes in barrels, breakaway roping and team roping. |

Treasurer: Addison HerringAddison Herring will be a senior this year, and she will serve as the Tomball FFA Treasurer for the 2023-2024 school year. She raises goats and steers, and competes on the quiz team, entomology team and the Ag Mech team. Addison is excited for the opportunity to serve the Tomball FFA Chapter and looks forward to seeing what this year brings to the chapter. |

Reporter: Gracyn GassiottGracyn Gassiott is a senior this year and will be serving as the Tomball FFA Reporter for the 2023-2024 school year. She has been in FFA since her freshman year. In that time, Gracyn has competed on the Quiz, Chapter Conducting, and Greenhand Creed Speaking LDE teams as well as Floriculture, Dairy Cattle and Entomology CDE teams. She also raises goats for her project show. Gracyn likes to spend her spare time with family and friends at the beach, river, lake and her family’s ranch, as well as cheering for the Texas Aggies. |

Sentinel: Kylie LighthallKylie Lighthall is a junior this year and will be serving as the Tomball FFA 2023-2024 Sentinel. She raises sheep and steers for the project show. Kylie competes in the Public Relations LDE team as well as Wildlife and Ag Sales for CDE’s.

Student Advisor: Megan HerringMegan Herring is a senior this year and will be serving as the Student Advisor for Tomball FFA during the 2023-2024 school year. She has been involved in FFA since her freshman year, and she has shown goats, turkeys, and steers. Megan has competed on Radio Broadcasting, Entomology and Ag Mech teams. She is currently raising a steer as well as a goat. |

Chaplain: Elli VestElli Vest will be serving as Tomball FFA's 2023-2024 Chaplain. Through FFA, she raises lambs and competes on the Advocacy, Wildlife, and Horse Judging teams. Outside of FFA, Elli rides horses and plans on rodeoing for her senior year. |

In addition, the Tomball FFA has once again ranked as a three-star chapter at the state and national level.
The National Chapter Award Program is designed to award FFA chapters who actively implement the FFA mission and strategies. These chapters improve chapter operations by using a Program of Activities (POA), which emphasizes student development, chapter development and community development.
