Tim Hortons to Open New Coffee Shop in Cypress Next Year
Tim Hortons, the beloved coffee and donut chain from Canada, is expanding its reach as it begins construction on a new location in Cypress. The new shop marks the company's eighth store in the Greater Houston Area.
The journey of Tim Hortons in the Lone Star State began in August 2022 with the opening of a location at 21811 Clay Road in Katy. This was closely followed by another grand opening at 5312 W. Richey Road in December the same year.
According to TDLR filings, the new Cypress location, situated at 11430 Barker Cypress Road, Cypress, TX 77433, will begin construction in early October 2024. The completion date for this project is set for late July 2025.
The introduction of Tim Hortons in this area marks yet another significant milestone for the Canadian coffee giant, whose roots trace back to 1964. The humble beginnings of this now-global brand began when hockey legend, Tim Horton, opened a small coffee and donut shop in Hamilton, Ontario. Over the years, Tim Hortons has become an integral part of Canadian culture, best known for their coffee, pastries, and "Timbits" - bite-sized donuts.
Now, the brand has expanded far beyond the Canadian borders, boasting over 4,800 locations in 14 countries. The Cypress location will add to this growing number and bring the unique flavor of Tim Hortons closer to more Texas residents.
